Bigger is better, and Michelin’s 4-wheel-drive tractor tire is here to put an end to any speculation. Michelin’s 8.3-foot-high and 35.5-inch-wide tire is the first tire of its (massive) size.
The size alone is impressive, but what makes the AxioBib unique is its tire pressure technology. The tire operates at a very low air pressure (20 percent less than conventional tires), which allows the wheels to spread out across the ground, dispersing the downward pressure and creating a larger tire footprint. The larger footprint of the AxioBib protects your soil against compaction.
Why is soil compaction such a concern amongst growers? When soil is compressed, there is no space for air or water to travel. These two elements of soil health are essential for root growth, preventing soil erosion and nutrient runoff.
